Dickens Inn is a very striking Tudor style character building, fronting both the Cameron Street Mall and Quality Street, an Old English style walking street with boutique shops. The Inn is based on a light English theme around the 19th Century English writer Charles Dickens. The interior is extensively decorated with pictures reproduced from his original files and displayed with the kind permission of the Dickens House Museum in London. There are two alfresco drinking and dining areas, ideal for those balmy summer evenings, a caf? and an old world style bar with a large selection of New Zealand and imported beers, wines and spirits. Upstairs there are function rooms with an intimate cocktail bar and balcony lounge. Our professional staff will develop your theme to create an atmosphere that will inspire and stimulate your group with refreshments, menus, decorations and entertainment. Buffets for parties of 30 or more are a feature. The Dickens Inn is licensed for a total of 320 people.

Ridge Country Retreat is perched high in the Papamoa Ranges and tucked away in 35 acres of lush native bush. Environmentally friendly ? the ultimate in privacy and tranquility and the ultimate place to unwind and relax. Onsite you have a generous 15m pool with panoramic views across rolling green hills and valleys, heated with geothermal water in the cooler months (1 April to 31 October), it is refreshing traditional pool over the warmer months. Wellington College?s Brierley Theatre and adjacent Firth Hall ? ideal for weddings, special occasions and corporate functions allow for an entire wedding occasion or just the reception and similar private functions. The historic Firth Hall adjacent to the Brierley Theatre is suitable as a pre-reception cocktail area and as an area for those quieter moments. BYO garden weddings with marquee for reception.Rosemount’s unique private nine acre garden estate is available exclusively for your special day. The pillars and flower arrangements are part of this unique venue and enhance the setting; night lights in the trees and gardens add atmosphere after dark. Croquet and p?tanque are available. Rosemount has an all-weather, all-year-round beautiful marquee, with silk lining, polished concrete floors and doors to the outside with all-weather access. Rosemount has a 10mx15m marquee.
Hall with kitchen in lovely old timber buildinThe Gaiety, Akaroa is situated in Rue Jolie, Akaroa. It contains a main hall and meeting room and full kitchen facilities. Car parking is provided on the adjacent section. The hall is available for hire from CCC. The prices vary depending on what the occasion is. The contact for hiring of The Gaiety is the Akaroa Service Centre on 941-8999 or 0800 800 169 and a pamphlet can be sent out following an enquiry, which has all the information regarding the hall in it. The main hall can accommodate 358 people standing and 150-160 people seated comfortably around tables. Using the hall and the fixed seating in the gallery, 250 people can be seated concert style.
