Our Banquet Hall which can seat 180+ guests it has spectacular high stud ceilings, is fully lined and is double glazed, the lighting is soft and full length outdoor views to the south of the Remarkable mountains, the north view is to the courtyard area and Mount Soho. The Wine Cave with seating for 30 guests is finished in burgundy plaster decor is a cool underground, intimate and private chamber. The Courtyard has a full length three metre wide, sheltered veranda overlooking a spacious river stone and grassed lawn area planted with olives and thyme. A central fountain bordered with lavender is perfect for your Corporate entertainers or wedding ceremony. A large marquee can be situated in our courtyard or several positions around the property.

Attractive spacious dockside venue.The beautiful Shed 5 building is an iconic waterfront location, and part of it’s historic beauty is the wooden interior and ceiling. However due to this the sound from the other dining rooms carries through the building, and our private dining room is not suitable for boardroom-style presentations. It has been used effectively with minimal audio equipment for marketing functions and sales pitches. Local business like to use it to entertain clients and make presentations, but audio equipment is required.Our main dining room has a maximum capacity of around 220 people, and is comfortable with groups over 100. Shed 5 regularly caters to function groups from 10 to 200. We have a beautiful private dining room facing the waterfront, the main dining room can seat up to 120 people and areas of the bar can be set aside for groups of up to 40 (or 80 if the weather is good!).

The Club’s present location is on River Road, on the banks of the picturesque Waikato River, North East of Hamilton city. Horsham Downs is well known throughout the Waikato golfing fraternity as a “friendly” club that caters for all levels of golfing ability.Tucked in between the Waikato River and River Road in Hamilton lies an unexpected gem for golf lovers. Only 3 kilometres from Flagstaff in the northern suburbs, Horsham Downs Golf Club is well known for its challenging yet picturesque layout. It also deservedly has the reputation for being the friendly club of the Waikato. The Club was formed by a small group of golfing enthusiasts on Aubrey Boyd’s farm, Henderson Road, Horsham Downs. The original Club Membership consisted of farmers and their wives from the local farming community, and it was not until the mid 1960’s that “townies” from Hamilton City became Members. Originally the course consisted of six holes, all in one paddock. After just a few years, it soon became apparent that a larger site would be necessary to cater for future growth and development.
